ROGER ALLENBAUGH
Managing Director

Roger’s career has centered on mergers and acquisitions advisory services, private equity investment, and capital placement.  He focuses on understanding the needs and objectives of private business owners and helping them prepare their businesses for outside investment or sale.  Previously Roger led the alternative investment practice for Blue Heron Capital, LLC in Washington, DC.

Roger also launched a business strategy consulting practice, providing research and analysis to middle-market investment banks prior to co-founding Blue Heron Capital in 2005.  During that time, he participated in growth capital transactions, advised companies expanding into the US and Middle East, and helped technology companies commercialize solutions.  Prior to that he was an associate at Hamilton Capital Partners, LLC a middle-market investment bank focused on aerospace, defense, and government services companies.

Roger began his career as a U.S. Navy pilot.  He earned an MBA with distinction from Georgetown University.  Additionally, he received a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Management and Economics from Carnegie Mellon University.  Roger is a member of the Alliance of Mergers and Acquisitions Advisors (AM&AA), The Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA), and The National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA).  Roger holds Series 7, 63, and 79 FINRA securities licenses.

 

ANGELO BASKARAN
Managing Director

Angelo was previously Treasurer and Vice President for the US operations of President Petroleum Company PLC, a London listed international oil and gas company.  From 2006 to 2011 he was the Chief Financial Officer of President Petroleum Company PLC (formerly, Meridian Petroleum plc).

He is also a member of the Board of Directors of London Court Limited, a UK based merchant bank since 1990.  Mr. Baskaran has broad experience in oil and gas and private equity, as well as, trading derivative hedge funds in the commodities markets, globally.  He served as Executive Vice President of MBf Asia Capital Corporation, a diversified financial services company operating in Hong Kong from 1992 to 1996 and as Vice President of The Chart Group LP, a private equity and a hedge fund firm in New York from 1996 to 1998.

Mr. Baskaran is involved in structuring and raising private equity and debt in relation to mid-market companies in the US and has managed The Iona Fund, a futures trading fund.  Mr. Baskaran holds an M.S. in Foreign Service from Georgetown University and an MBA in Finance from the City University CASS Business School in London. He is a Chartered Accountant in England and Wales.

 

DEEPAK BASRA
Managing Director

Throughout his career, he has a consistent record of driving revenue growth and shareholder returns in Telecommunications Services, Orthopedics and Vascular Therapies. Deepak has achieved outstanding results by focusing on strategic development and repositioning of existing businesses, achieving growth both organically and through acquisitions.

As Vice President for Business Development and Licensing for the Vascular Therapies division at Covidien, Deepak was responsible for Mergers & Acquisitions, Venture and Licensing activities.  In this capacity he led the $2.6B acquisition of ev3, as well as a number of other transactions across the Venous, Peripheral, and Neurovascular therapeutic areas.  He held this role from 2010-2012.

From 2005-2009 he was the Senior Vice President of Strategy and Business Development for the Orthopedics division of Smith & Nephew.  As such, he was tasked with implementing its inorganic growth program for both existing product markets and emerging technologies.  Deepak led the division’s Strategic Planning process, and concluded multiple M&A transactions in the US, Europe and Asia.

Before that, Deepak worked in the Telecommunications industry for fifteen years.  From 1995-2004 he worked at Cable & Wireless (C&W), a global telecoms provider, latterly as Vice President, Business Development.  From 1987-2005 Deepak worked for British Telecommunications in a range of Product, Marketing and Sales roles in the UK and the USA.  He started his career with Plessey Telecommunications and also spent time working with Philips Telecommunications in the Netherlands.

A graduate of Edinburgh University, Deepak holds a BSc in Social Sciences and a post-graduate Diploma in International Marketing from Buckinghamshire College, UK.  He completed his MBA at Henley Management College in the UK and is a member of the British Chartered Institute of Marketing.

 

BRADLEY LOVE
Managing Director

Bradley C. Love has over twenty-five years of experience in relationship selling, having been successful in manufacturing, telecommunications, and financial markets. Brad is the president of Kang Capital LLC.

For the past five years, he has raised investment and working capital for several emerging and start-up companies, primarily in the energy technology space. Much of Brad’s financial career has focused on business development and capital placement. As a result of spending over ten years as a wealth manager, Brad strives to understand investor objectives and works to identify and present investments that meet the investor’s requirements.

Brad started his career with International Paper as a major account manager and learned the nuances of a manufacturing business. After obtaining his financial licenses with Wheat First Securities and working as a financial advisor, he joined Network Access Solutions, a telecommunications start up which went public in 1999. Brad later returned to the financial markets, joining a wealth management team at Wachovia Securities.

Brad attended the College of William and Mary, where he was a scholarship varsity golfer and earned his B.B.A in Business Management. Brad holds Series 7, 63, and 79 FINRA securities licenses.
